What is better than music games, prizes, goodie bags, and a HOT CHOCOLATE BAR?? Nothing I say....nothing at all!! Our Christmas group lesson is always a time to celebrate the hard work of these music scholars, and it's a blast. We do music games and prizes. So many prizes...Of course we talk about our mascot FRANZ LISZT since our club is named after him---The A-LISZT Junior Music Club!! So of course we had to include him! Christmas Carol Bingo....these kids know their Xmas songs!! Have a blessed and peaceful Christmas break. See you in January!

The Christmas Recital was a great success, and these students brought their A GAME...Such amazing A-Liszters! Way to go. We had both violin and piano performances, and also heard a piano concerto and rousing SLEIGH RIDE TRIO as the finale! Super fun as these kids work hard and PLAY harder! Our Spring Music Recital was a great success! We had 8 amazing musicians perform and all did amazingly!! It is great fun to see students of all levels on violin and piano demonstrate their hard work this year!
It's an amazing day when you get to spend it at the Steinway Piano Gallery! It's an even better day when all your A-LISZTER students get Superior ratings on their piano performance adjudications and their Theory tests!!
Beautiful Sounds of Christmas from these musical scholars!! One of my favorite sights to behold is friendships that develop with my older students. Middle Schoolers and High schoolers tend to look for acceptance among their peers, which can be challenging at times. As kids grow, I think it is especially important for students to find other like-minded students who share their hobbies. For the music studio, this is always fun to see kids develop friendships as they continue their journey in music lessons and self-expression in music. I find this incredibly valuable for myself and the young people I serve in the studio! Over the years, it has been a joy to watch my students grow up together in music lessons! They love getting together and playing music for each other! This gives them a way to connect to other people in a significant way! So many blessings with this! I am grateful for these young people and their love for music!
Our spring music recital was incredibly special, because we were able to highlight the hard work of all our students and three teachers! We had amazing performances by both pianists and violinists! What a wonderful day it was! and playing a Steinway grand is ALWAYS a treat! We had 7 students participate in Piano Guild this May, and it was a great success! All students came back with Superior and Superior Plus ratings! Super proud Music Mama here! These kids worked so hard to prepare programs as short as 5 memorized pieces and as many as 15 memorized pieces plus accompanying scales, chords, progressions, and arpeggios. I am always amazed at what all these kids can attain! Great job, A-LISZTERS! Students are working xtra hard around here preparing for Piano Guild performances 2024. We have 7 students who have prepared programs from district level (4 memorized pieces, state level (7 memorized pieces), National level (10 memorized pieces), and International level (15 memorized pieces). These kids have worked on some of these pieces all school year and are ready to rock this out! Way to go!! Even the "Little Maestro" has enjoyed hearing them practice in their lessons!
Dr. TLee-Kazz is working with 5th graders on the development of blues music. Her 5th graders are currently creating their own blues song thru lyrics writing and using computer software known as BandLab. It has been great fun watching them work with their partners and have great fun in the creating process.
